Our "New Year...New You" wellness focus this week is on our minds and how we can take steps to better nurture our mental health. We turned to Teresa of Your Zen Life and Your Zen Mama for some guidance and help! She put together a video with some of her own personal thoughts and more specifically, how meditation has helped her!
"It's important to really establish and pin-point what nurtures our spirit and lean into that. Kindness and compassion to others and ourselves is a big one for me, when I'm working from a place of love and light it's like I'm constantly being recharged. To keep in this high state of being I bounce thoughts off of my partner, read from the works of great spiritual teachers (my go-to's are Eckhart Tolle, Alan Watts) and practice a mindfulness meditation."
