If you're struggling to contain all your stuff in a small space, perhaps you'll find inspiration in Whitney Leigh Morris and Adam Winkleman. The couple lives in a 362-square-foot cottage in Venice Beach, CA, with a 3-month-old son and two rescue beagles — and their home is a joy to look at.

Your Zen Mama Feature: Interview with Plum and Sparrow Founder

Tell us a little bit about your journey and how you’ve come to arrive here.

I’m an LA born and raised girl who found herself stuck in a rural small town in high school. After I graduated, I packed up whatever would fit in my little Mitsubishi, kissed that tiny town goodbye, and headed to San Diego. Fate intertwined my life with my husbands 12 years ago and it’s been an adventure filled whirlwind since....

George's Mummy Feature: Plum and Sparrow Handwoven Baskets

I am totally head over heels in love with these handwoven baskets by Plum and Sparrow. Aren’t they phenomenal?

And the story behind these gorgeous baskets is even more amazing and worth loving. Apart from being a Fair Trade Federation small business, Plum and Sparrow one-of-a-kind baskets are handmade in Africa. Ultimately, 10% of all baskets sold help support over 400 African weavers and their families providing them with school supplies, healthcare and the funding and building of community weaving centers.

Lilypod & Sweetpea Feature: Newborn Nursery Decor Ideas

I’ve not really posted about this new bambino much have I? I don’t know why; I guess it’s because when you already have a little one to look after, on top of life’s many distractions, it’s just not your major focus.

Of course I’m so so excited; I can’t wait to get into bed every night to feel my little one karate kick about and I think about life with our new arrival all of the time. I’ve been planning so many exciting things to do as part of my pregnancy bucket list, and most recently I’ve been planning how to decorate our little ones nursery.

We have a four bed so bambini will have a room of their own. It’s small, I guess you’d call it the box room but it’s still big enough for all that we need … Jasper can rolly-polly in it amongst the laundry rack, single bed and various boxes that currently reside in it so that’ll be plenty big enough for a newborn!

Kristle Clarity Feature: Our Newest Obsessions

I just had two share with y’all our newest baby obsessions. Both I wish I had when my older boys were first born.

I was so thrilled to receive this hand woven Moses basket from Plum and Sparrow. The handles are wrapped with leather, it comes with a custom waterproof mattress pad and white sheet.

I admire Dianna’s appreciation for diversity and also want to share that with my children.
“It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.”
— Maya Angelou

Each basket purchased helps provide healthcare, school supplies and community buildings for the weavers and their families.
