Giving Back

We are inspired with how others give back and so fortunate to be a part of a community where individuals, small shops and organizations are continuing to help those in need! 

Our products are sustainably made and we are a supporter of the Fair Trade Federation which means 10% of each purchase goes back to the African weavers and their families - providing them with school supplies, healthcare and the funding and building of the community weaving centers.

We have also worked with a variety of local and national non-profit companies over the years to support local families and moms. Since we started, purchases from our village community have supported the below non-profits.

EVERY MOTHER COUNTS

• A non-profit organization who are dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother. Their mission is to, "inform, engage, and mobilize new audiences to take actions and raise funds that support maternal health programs around the world."  It is estimated that 303,000 women die every year from birth complications during pregnancy and childbirth. A portion of our moses basket purchases were donated to this organization during the holidays of 2016.

SAVVY GIVING BY DESIGN

• A local non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comfort, support, and healing to families with a child facing a medical crisis by transforming the interior spaces of their homes at no cost to them. We supplied them with baskets for one of the room makeovers and donated 10% of our profit during the holidays of 2016.
